The Lady M Collection was born from the vision of the Lady M Foundation, established in 2016 to support women, youth, entrepreneurs, and emerging creative talent. More than simply a fashion line, the collection serves as a platform for empowerment, cultural pride, and opportunity creation by supporting and showcasing talented designers from Lesotho, creating skills development and career pathways, demonstrating that Lesotho can produce globally respected fashion, and offering elegant designs that allow women to feel confident, dignified, and powerful, ultimately bridging philanthropy, fashion, and economic empowerment
Mamotake Matekane
Mamo is the founder of the Lady M Collection and the visionary behind the Lady M Foundation, established to empower women, youth, entrepreneurs, and emerging creative talent. Through her leadership, the collection reflects a commitment to cultural pride, opportunity creation, and elegant designs that celebrate African identity and inspire confidence in modern women.
George Malelu
The head designer behind the Lady M Collection is George Malelu, a highly respected couture designer from Lesotho whose work has reached international stages, including designs for Beyoncé and Zozibini Tunzi. Through the Lady M Collection, he brings the craftsmanship and precision of global runway couture together with Lesotho’s creative talent to create refined, elegant garments for modern women.
